Description
Enameled metal cup used for drinking beverages. Enamelware, a type of enameled metal kitchenware, has been produced in North America since the 1880s. Manufactured by machine, a sheet of steel is pressed, cut, shaped, and then coated with a white enamel made from powdered glass. Canadian factories such as Sheet Metal Products and McClary Manufacturing, which merged in 1927 under the name General Steel Wares, contributed to the development of enameled dishware production.
